He quickly identified the issue with our door lock and recommended a more secure lock Communication was great throughout – he even texted to say he’d be slightly delayed. The repair was carried out professionally and with real care. He cut extra keys on site and made sure each one worked perfectly in both sides of the lock. He also adjusted the door alignment so it now opens and closes smoothly. Friendly, knowledgeable and very fairly priced. Highly recommend if you need a reliable local locksmith.

I was recently burgled and needed to find a local locksmith in Rotherham. This was on behalf of my elderly father. After ringing a couple of other companies, which were obviously big National ones, I found S Fretwell & Sons. Their phone manner immediately put my mind at rest, and I knew I would be able to trust them. I was given a price over the phone to have three uPVC door locks upgraded to anti-snap versions. Stephen arrived on time and did not change the price that I had been quoted. Very pleased with the service and friendliness of this company and would recommend them to anyone

Our lock was completely broken, my fella tried to sort it but couldn't get it to work. We called Stephen out at 8:30 am, and he was here before 10:00 am, really friendly, and had a laugh! Explained what needed to be done, along with the prices, and the work was done in less than an hour. We now have a more secure lock and a secure door. Fantastic job, highly recommended.

The issue was a broken gearbox on a closed uPVC door, with concerns that a second door was close to developing similar issues. Stephen arrived quickly at the time advised. Quickly solved the problem, opening the stuck door and replacing the broken parts, adjusting the door to prevent future issues, and carrying out the same on the front door. Both doors feel like new! The work was completed in record time and to a high standard. I would definitely recommend and use again.
